I had a feeling the results were going to lean this way (currently seven votes for the television series, none for the others).

So, I suppose, the question is why.

Did you see the movie, read the book, or watch the show first? Because, for me, that has something to do with it. I started watching the middle of the series a few years before seeing the movie, so it was just jarring to me when I watched the movie and the characters I loved were unrecognizable (or not there at all). I think that's why I never really loved the early seasons of the show, either. The characters are a little flatter, a little harsher, more antagonistic in the way they interact with each other... Which is fine! They had to start somewhere. But my default view of the characters is from seasons four and five, so the movie and the earlier episodes feel like going in reverse to me.
